The site italien.ro presents the ITALIEN Compagnia di Famiglia restaurant and allows you to book a table, consult the menu and allergens, create a guest account and send an invoice request. No products are sold and no payments are taken through this site.
2. Reservations
The booking form sends a request, not a firm reservation. The booking is confirmed only when you receive our confirmation, by email or phone. Until then, the table is not held.
- We usually reply the same day.
- We hold the table for 15 minutes past the booked time. After that we may give it to someone else — we say so here so you know in advance, not so you find out at the door.
- You cancel from the link in the confirmation email, from your account, or by calling. At no cost.
- For large groups and private events we agree the terms separately, in writing.
- We may refuse or cancel a reservation — capacity exceeded, incidents, unforeseen situations. We let you know as soon as we know.
No-shows. We take no deposit, so we charge no penalty. If someone repeatedly fails to turn up without telling us, we may ask that future bookings be made by phone.
Booking a table for a particular date and time is a leisure service with a specified date of performance. Under art. 16(l) of G.E.O. no. 34/2014, for such services there is no 14-day right of withdrawal. Cancellation remains free at any time, under the rules above.
3. The menu and prices
- Prices are in lei and include VAT.
- The price that applies is the one displayed in the restaurant at the time you order. The menu on the site and the one behind the QR code are updated often, but not instantly.
- Availability of dishes is not guaranteed. Things do run out.
- Photographs are illustrative.
- Allergens are marked on every dish. Those marked "automatically suggested" are inferred from the ingredients written on the menu and have not yet been confirmed by the head chef. If you have an allergy, tell your waiter before ordering.
4. Guest account and loyalty points
- The account is created with your email address and can be closed at any time, from the account.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your own email.
- Points are collected on visits recorded on the loyalty card and are used in the restaurant, at the till.
- Points have no cash value, cannot be converted and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
- If we change the programme's rules, we announce it beforehand. Points collected until then remain valid.
- When the account is closed, unused points are lost.
5. Reviews
Two kinds of review appear on the site, and we write here how each is verified, because the law requires us to say so.
- Google reviews are read live from Google Business Profile. We do not choose them, do not filter them and do not keep them ourselves. Verifying them is Google's job; we show what they show, with the author's name and a link to the original review.
- Reviews written on the site go through a check before publication. We check against spam and offensive language — not against the rating. A bad review, civilly written, gets published. We do not publish reviews written by ourselves and we do not ask anyone to write reviews in someone else's name.
6. Site content
The texts, photographs, menu and visual identity are ours. You may share them with a link to the source; you may not use them commercially without our agreement.
7. Site availability
We do our best to keep the site running at all times, but we cannot guarantee it is uninterrupted. If the site is down, bookings can be made by phone, on the number above.
8. Complaints
Write to us at contact@italien.ro or call. We answer within 15 days at most.
If we cannot reach an agreement, you can turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection, including through the alternative dispute resolution procedure: anpc.ro — what ADR is · reclamatiisal.anpc.ro
9. Applicable law
Romanian law applies. Disputes are settled by the competent courts in Romania.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. The version in force is the one on this page, with the update date at the top.
